Ice Cream

Hi all, I can't believe it has took me a week to do this card, don't know about you but sometimes a card just doesn't seem to go right, but at last it's ready lol.  I made this card to give you all some inspiration for the current challenge over on our challenge blog, the challenge is Anything but a square or rectangle and we are being sponsored by Crafters Companion and it closes Saturday evening.

I used the ice cream molly bloom and woodware ice cream parfait for the sentiment, which you can find on and in the shop :-)  Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx

More challenge inspiration

Good afternoon, Dawn H here sharing some more inspiration for our challenge of anything but square or rectangle on over on our challenge blog.
I made this card using some goodies from that craft place, I'm just loving the papers. For the image I heat embossed just one layer of clear powder to add to the vintage feel as it makes the white card translucent in places. I coloured the image with distress inks.
Seeing as the challenge is all about shape I wanted to incorporate this into the whole design using a variety of shapes that I think work well together. All these shapes are nestabilities, using four different sets. The hearts are die cut from chipboard and covered. Why hearts? Well in my pack from Lisa was a lovely little heart embellishment that I wanted to use, I just altered the colour with alcohol ink, punched a heart and added it to the little bouquet of flowers, which were pink so I altered them with pro markers.  Hope you like my sample and I know we're all lookin forward to seeing more of your entries into the challenge.
How about a handbag shaped card, or a flower pot with flowers, or a Pentagon shape folded in half makes a funky base. Or how about a teddy shape or triangular shape. The possibilities are endless, enjoy creating something a bit different and good luck to all entrants x bye for now , dawn x

Challenge inspiration

Dawn H here with a little bit more inspiration for our current challenge on that craft place challenge blog. I made a cascade card and used some gorgeous stamps from do crafts. The images are coloured using pro markers. Lisa stocks a wide range of their products and this card would work well with other stamped images, toppers, embellishments. You can make it as simple or fussy as you'd like and it'll still look fab. Perhaps have pieces of ribbon coming out the top edges. Hope you like this card, it certainly isn't square or a rectangle and we all look forward to seeing more of your entries. Remember there's a gift voucher for crafters companion up for grabs. X
Enjoy

CheeryLynn card

Hello, Dawn Louise blogging here, to share a card made using the gorgeous dies from Lisa at THAT CRAFT PLACE. I just had to have these dies, the swirl and leaves are delicate and perfect to go with any creation, as a focal point or to accent your paper flowers, to frame your image and much more. The waste from the cut shape makes an excellent mask to stencil through and this design makes a  background design that would compliment many different styles and images. The swirls n leaves also compliment the flower dies perfectly and the possibilities with these combined are lots and lots.
My card is 8x8 inch square and the background uses a mask and distress inks, another layer ran through an embossing folder,a punched border, some organza ribbon, pearl pins made from my own supplies make up this card
We're all ready and raring to go with the next challenge on that craft place challenge blog http://thatcraftplaceblog.blogspot.co.uk/?m=0
We really do appreciate all your entries and enjoy lookin through them all with so many different ideas and styles, it makes crafting even more fun.
Thank you for taking a look, happy crafting
Dawn

Happy Spring

Hi all, it's Kerry here, I apologise for not popping on sooner with some spring inspiration for our currant challenge over on our challenge blog, but of course I think everyone has been busy with Easter lol.  I made a basket using paperartsy stamps and dies, which you can find on our shop website, if you can't find what your looking for, get in touch with Lisa and she will do her magic and find what your looking for, craft wise that is lol.
I have taken a close up of the flower I made using the dies and background stamps, I used paperartsy squiggly minis 8, 10 and backgrounds 6.  On the basket I used swirls and curls 5 and the letters from words 4.  A lot of embossing and distress inks on both the box and flower.  I also stitched a button to hold the flower together.

Hope you all have a fantastic bank holiday Monday (UK) and I shall be back sometime in the week to give some more spring inspiration.  Thanks for looking :-) Kezzy xxx
