Paper Piercing....

Morning all, Tracy here :)

I wanted to do a quick tutorial on paper piercing as I know it is something that some people have asked me what it is, So I thought what better way than to do a tutorial !

Firstly you can paper pierce using rubber stamps or digi stamps, but for this tutorial I am using rubber.

You need the following items-

Stamp
Card suitable for stamping
Pens (if you are going to color your image)
Ink pad...as I am using alcohol marks I use Memento
Patterned/colored paper you want to use for piercing
Adhesive...I would recommend a wet glue as this then allows for you too have a bit of movement when placing the pierced section.

You need to stamp your image onto your plain card, and then onto the patterned paper..

If you are coloring your image then do so....

You then need to cut out the sections you wish to "pierce" I want to pierce her top on this stamp. You need to be careful and make sure you stick the stamped lines...

Then glue your sections onto the main image. I also like to add shading the pierced sections just to give it more depth. And there you have your finished paper pierced image.

I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial and have fun piercing !

Fabric on canvas

I have made this canvas for my best friend as she is moving and is an obsessive sewer!!!  I added textured paste through a harlequin mask to the corners and then mixed gesso and dusty concorde distress ink, and painted over the canvas.  I sprinkled aged wine frantage over the canvas and heated it from underneath.  stamps from the  Sewing Room set from Visible Image were stamped in versafine and distress inks onto cotton fabric and trimmed.  I stamped the mannikin onto a double layer and sewed round it before stuffing it to add dimension.  I used the sewing stitches to add detail to the edges of the canvas.  I stamped the corset from Visible Image in dusty concorde distress ink and in versamark ink and frantaged it.

You can get all the supplies to make this canvas, or one similar from Lisa ... either from the shop and facebook group.

Visible image Molly with a twist

Lisa has just got another order from Visible Image, and i thought I would show you a card I made using the cutie Molly - but with a bit of a twist ...
Molly looks really sweet until you notice the teddy is headless!!!  That got me thinking about zombie-fying Molly!  I simply coloured her skin as I normall do and then went over using pastel biege promarker to give that undead look!!  I added the stitching using marsh green promarker, but resisted adding any blood!!
I distressed round her using pumice stone distress ink.  I stamped the hearts from the Teen extra set in versamark and then embossed them using hunter green frantage before cutting them out.  I used papers from MME pads and embossed the plain one suing a Sizzix folder.  To add texture, but keep that girly feel I added jute raffia and a lace/pearl string.  Finally I stamped the sentiment and cut it out and added a  button.

House of Cards

Morning everyone, it's Susan here with something I made for our current challenge. The challenge theme is Animals and I wanted to get away from doing the usual card with an animal on it... So not wanting to make life easy for myself I decided to make a card game... yeah, I know, crazy huh!

I cut 16 ATC sized bits of card (2.5in by 3.5in) and stamped them with this cute little frog and rabbit stamps which are Docrafts Country Companions range.

I then coloured them with my Promarkers and inked round the edge of the cards with some DI and stamped little leaves round the edges of the cards too. There's also a handy little box to keep the pairs in.

I had hoped to get a photo of one of the boys playing the game but the answer was a resounding no!

This handsome fella is called Edgar and was brilliant to color.  And you can buy him from Lisa Here
The papers are Bazzill.
The sentiment stamp is from Tom Holtz and was stamped using Versamark and then embossed using white embossing powder, I finished off with some ribbon and Embellished using Cosmic Shimmer Coloured glue....These stuff is FANTASTIC and I cannot recommend it enough, Lisa has lots of different colours, including glitters. Not only does it look great to embellish with, it is also a brilliant glue !
